What a crazy year.

ANOTHER month of shop closure.
Launching our biggest ever Black Friday sale.
Stocking new brands.
Sourcing our OWN products.
And we're not done yet...
When we opened in 2007, we were only a business for 6 months before we hit the 2008 recession. We thought that would be the biggest challenge we would face as a menswear store in a small town... Oh how wrong we were...
COVID-19 has been rubbish for everyone, and whilst we are very aware there are more important tragedies in the world right now, we thought small businesses were done for.
There were times in March & April where it looked bleak, but because of YOU, we are still able to put some electric in the meter and turn the shop lights on in the morning ;)
I joke of course, it's so much more than that.
157 is our dream, it's our job, and it's our last hope of keeping PROPER, OLDSKOOL menswear service alive.
We are still in business because you, our wonderful customers-come-mates supported us and ordered online once we'd built the website in April during lockdown.
You shared and shared and shared... And we went from 5k followers to 15k... WOWZA!
And we haven't looked back. We have finally NAILED the art of selling online but still maintaining the personal, human service you get from 157. With that in mind, we are going a little further to give something back to you this winter and hopefully make sure you stick with us when all the chain stores slash their prices!
We are carbon positive for Black Friday, meaning we are offsetting our carbon foorprint by partnering with Shopify (our website provider) and DPD (our delivery partner) to plant more trees which puts more oxygen in the atmosphere, and reduces the carbon.
We have also launched our BIGGEST EVER selection of discounts for Black Friday. There is over 400 products in our sale, which you can shop now and also take a further 10% off with code 157PARTY
And we've also extended our returns policy, meaning you can return or swap any Christmas presents if the size isn't quite right etc... More on that below.

We accept returns up to 14 days from the date of your order, unless we specify an extended returns policy over the holiday season.
For Christmas 2020 we are allowing any order placed in Nov & Dec to be returned by 10th Jan 2021. This is to help make sure Christmas gifts can be swapped if sizes aren't quite right.
Please read the product description carefully of every item you purchase before placing the order. We take the time to put as much information as possible on every garment to ensure you won't have to fuss around with returning goods to us. However, should you wish to return an item, please read below.
We will only accept returns on goods that are unworn, tags in place, and in the same condition that it was sent to you in. We do not cover costs of return postage unless the item is faulty or we made a mistake with your order.

HOW TO RETURN FOR AN EXCHANGE/SWAP
1. Place another order for the desired size immediately. This ensures we do not sell out of the size, and also means you get the item quicker.
2. Post the incorrect items back to our store address below. Make sure to include your name and order number, also let us know you'd like a refund. We will refund returned items in full providing they are in an 'as new' condition with all tags still in place. We recommend using a tracked/signed service at your local post office, and please keep hold of the receipt until you have your refund.
3. Refunds will be processed on the same or next working day that we receive them at our store. Refunds will be made via whichever payment method you used when you placed your order. Paypal refunds are instant, but refunds onto bank cards can take up to 5 working days to appear in your account. This is the banks' processing time, and we cannot speed this process up.

HOW TO RETURN FOR A REFUND
Follow step 2 above, then read step 3 for info on your refund.
Because of the nature of our independent business, there may come a time when a product ordered online is taken from our shop floor instead of our stock room. In the event of this, the item(s) will be carefully hand-packed in unbranded wrapping. So please, don't panic if the item arrives in a different packaging to what you're used to / what you've seen before. We won't accept this to be used as a valid reason to return any item.
If you are extremely worried about packaging for gifts/presents, please email or ring before ordering and we can go from there.
